Agrippa’s Marvelous Water-lifting Appliance

The compliments Agrippa’s water-lifting creation earned by Andrea Bacci in 1588 was temporary. Only years later, in 1592, the early modern Roman waterway, the Acqua Felice, was attached to the Medici’s villa, perhaps making the technology obsolete.
